United travel to the KC Stadium on Sunday without a host of star players who
are being rested ahead of the Champions League final on Wednesday.
The likes of Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and Michael Carrick will be
rested ahead of the game against Barcelona in Rome, with Federico Macheda and
Daniel Welbeck possibly set to lead the United attack and Darren Gibson in
midfield.
Ferguson could hand the captain's armband to Darren Fletcher, who will be
suspended for the Champions League final.
United defender Wes Brown could return following a foot problem, while Rio
Ferdinand faces a fitness test.
Mendy are both in contention after missing last weekend's draw at Bolton with
head and toe injuries respectively.
Left-back Andy Dawson is also expected to start the match despite struggling
this week with illness.
Striker Caleb Folan is available again after suspension but on-loan Manucho
is unable to play against his parent club.

to at least match Newcastle's result at Aston Villa, to become the 26th side

Lawro's predictions Hull 1-1 Man Utd
Much has been made of Manchester United's proposed team selection ahead of
the game.
They have a massive game in the Champions League final a few days later so
you can understand why Sir Alex Ferguson would want to rest players.
However, I still feel the team will be decent and it will include young,
hungry players who in a way could be more a threat than some of the senior
players who may have one eye on that final in Rome.
But I think Hull will get something in this game and I feel a point will be
enough to keep them in the Premier League.
