Utd on verge of Heinze deal

Manchester Untied are on the verge of completing the ￡6million transfer of Arg
entine defender Gabriel Heinze.

阿根廷後衛Heinze 6百萬英鎊轉會曼聯一案已接近完成。

Sir Alex Ferguson has had an offer for the 26-year-old accepted by French club
Paris St-Germain and United have only to settle personal terms.

弗格森對這位26歲後衛的報價已經被巴黎聖日耳曼接受，目前僅剩個人轉會細節。

If the deal goes through as expected in the next two weeks, it will mean Fergus
on has spent around ￡13m already this summer to reinforce his squad as he atte
mpts to win the Premiership back from Arsenal.

此項轉會預估會在兩個禮拜內完成，這意味著弗格森在這個夏天已經動用了1千3百萬英鎊
來重建他的球隊以奪回聯賽冠軍。

Earlier this week, United spent ￡7m on Alan Smith in a controversial move from
 Leeds. But it was in defence that United were found wanting last season follow
ing the suspension of Rio Ferdinand after he received an eight-month ban for mi
ssing a drugs test.

Heinze, one of the most impressive defenders in the French League, was signed f
rom Real Valladolid three years ago and was linked with Chelsea last season.

Man Utd Close on Heinze

Manchester United are set to complete the signing of
Argentine defender Gabriel Heinze from Paris St Germain.


Although United maintained their policy of making no comment,
BBC Sport understands they have agreed a ￡6m fee for the 26-year-old.

The left-sided central defender is now believed to be discussing
personal terms with the Old Trafford outfit.

Heinze's capture would take United's summer spending to ￡13m following
the arrival of ￡7m striker Alan Smith.

Argentina have called Heinze into their squad for the World Cup quallifiers
next month.

Before joining PSG, Heinze played for Valladolid in Spain and Sporting Lisbon
in Portugal.

United would have no problems gaining a work permit for Heinze as
he holds a German passport.

Heinze could be an ideal partner for Rio Ferdinand when the England defender
returns from suspension, allowing Mikael Silvestre to return to left back.

Chelsea reportedly made a ￡7m bid for the player in January, but PSG president
Francis Graille said at the time Heinze would not be allowed to leave until
the end of the season.

(當然Sir應該還是要自己"籌"點錢)

要嘛
27m全用在簽某一名球員上!?
