Nottingham Forest主帥Joe Kinnear向曼聯主帥Sir Alex Ferguson推薦其隊中的紅人
Andy Reid。
這名才華洋溢的中場球員Reid之前被Tottenham積極追求，並且以3百萬英鎊的價錢希望與
他簽約，可惜他的教練Kinnear認為他能夠在更好的地方發展。
Forest拒絕了Tottenham的要求，同時也拒絕了Reid要求加盟Tottenham的意願。
Kinnear要價5百萬英鎊，並且認為Reid更適於Old Trafford這個巨大舞台。
「兩天前我與Alex交談過，他問我誰是我隊中最好的球員，當時我回答是Andy（Reid），
」Kinnear說道。
「我說『他完全有能力加入你的球隊。』他確實是眾多的未來之星之一，像他這樣的球員
並不多。」

Talented midfielder Reid is being actively pursued by Tottenham, who tabled a
￡3 million bid last week, but Kinnear believes the player can do better.
Forest rejected Spurs' approach in a move which prompted Reid to submit a trans
fer request - which the club also rejected.
Kinnear is holding out for a sum of ￡5 million and believes the player would p
rove a success at Old Trafford.
''I spoke to Alex two days ago and he asked me who is my best player and I told
him it was Andy,'' conceded Kinnear.
''I said 'He's good enough to get in your team.' He really is one for the futur
e and there are not many around like him.''
