UNITED are closing in on transfer target Park Ji-sung as the South
Korean's agents flew into England to discuss terms with the Reds.

The 24-year-old PSV Eindhoven player's advisors are understood to have
been inManchester last night talking to Old Trafford officials about
the move.

United lodged their interest with the Dutch champions last week while
Park wason international duty. He was waiting to talk to his mentor
and PSV coach GuusHiddink who had been on holiday in New York.

Hiddink was Park's coach for South Korea at the World Cup in 2002 and
brought the player to European and Holland when he quit the international
post to move to Eindhoven.

The Seoul-born player had talks with Hiddink yesterday and has been
left to make up his mind on whether to stay in Holland or move to the
Premiership - and there were reports he was yet to make his mind up.

But the fact that Park Ji-sung's two agents are now believed to have
spoken to United suggests the players thoughts are moving towards a
switch to Old Trafford.

And his agent Kim Jeong-il told the Yonhap News Agency: "He has decided
to join the English team (United).

"Today we will inform the president of our company, Lee Cheol-ho,
who is now in the Netherlands, of Park's intention."

Once he has given the nod to personal terms then United will thrash out
a fee with PSV. But PSV chairman Rob Westerhof has already warned that
the player, who was a success in the Champions League for PSV as well
as helping them to the Dutch double, won't come cheap.

Park has been at PSV for three seasons after joining Hiddink at the
Phillips Stadium in 2002 following three years in Japan with Kyoto
Purple Sanga.

Park Ji-Sung has informed his current club PSV Eindhoven that he wants
to join Manchester United.

The South Korean midfielder this week held talks with the Dutch champions
to discuss his future.

But, according to one of the player's advisors, his decision has now
been made and the 24-year-old favours a move to Old Trafford.

"He wants to go to Manchester United," said Lee Chul-ho, a member of the
company representing Park in Eindhoven.

"He has informed PSV and hopes that the deal between Manchester United
and PSV will go very well for everybody concerned."

PSV, who signed Park from Japanese J-League side Kyoto Purple Sanga in
2003, had hoped to convince one of their most valuable assets that his
blossoming career would be better served by remaining in Holland.

In two seasons at the Philips Stadium under the guidance of former
South Korea coach Guus Hiddink, Park's energetic displays on the left
side of midfield have established him as a highly-regarded, much-coveted
prospect.

However, the latest comments from his agent suggest a deal with United,
for a fee reportedly in the region of ￡4m-￡6m, has been given the
go-ahead for completion.

PSV Eindhoven midfielder Park Ji-sung has reportedly agreed a four-year
deal with Manchester United.

The South Korean international has been expected to move to Old Trafford
for some time, but the deal had stalled over a fee.

Despite the failure to agree on a fee, United have still been allowed to
talk with the player, and reports in Holland say that he has now agreed
on a four-year deal with The Red Devils.


看來轉會費還真有得談
