Fergie: Ronaldo Will Sign
Sir Alex Ferguson says Cristiano Ronaldo will sign a revised contact with
United to bring months of speculation to an end.
The Portuguese starlet has been in negotiations with the Club for months
over an improved deal, leading to supposed interest from Real Madrid and
Barcelona as the saga has panned out.
But Sir Alex told Portuguese newspaper A Bola: "He will sign the new deal
tomorrow [Thursday]."
Assistant boss Carlos Queiroz had earlier this week described Ronaldo as
'fundamental' to the Club's future, and Sir Alex echoed those sentiments.
"He is a fantastic player. Cristiano Ronaldo is the future of Manchester
United, with Wayne Rooney, Darren Fletcher and John O'Shea," said Ferguson.
"I do not know if he will stay as many years as Ryan Giggs but I know that
he will give us a lot of joy."

最近一段時間以來，有關曼聯隊葡萄牙邊鋒克裡斯蒂亞諾-羅納爾多轉會西甲的傳聞
不斷，西班牙媒體介紹到，無論是皇馬還是巴薩都非常青睞這名速度奇快的盤球高手。
在處於西甲雙雄的巨大壓力之下，曼聯不得不盡快和小小羅進行了續約談判。昨天，
曼聯隊主帥弗格森在接受葡萄牙《馬尼亞郵報》的採訪時表示，小小羅將和曼聯正式續約
，從而徹底打消皇馬和巴薩要挖人的念頭。
小小羅將和曼聯續約到2010年，此外他的薪水也會有不少增長，「曼聯的首席執行官
吉爾先生回來以後，將盡快和小小羅完成談判」。
對於合同的細節，弗格森沒有披露，「現在數字已經被雙方都同意了，現在克裡斯蒂
亞諾還需要一個簽名就可以了，這需要等待他從休假歸來以後完成」。
此前，皇馬和巴薩被報道稱他們為小小羅開出了2000萬歐元的轉會費，而曼聯隊曾在
2003年8月以1200萬英鎊的價格引進了小小羅，弗格森把他看作是貝克漢姆的接班人，並
給了他意義非凡的7號球衣，上賽季他出場40次，射進9球。
曼聯主帥弗格森非常看中小小羅，他曾評論到，魯尼，小小羅和弗萊徹是球隊當中三
個非常有潛力的新星，是未來的巨星人選，也是紅魔重建王朝的關鍵，對於曼聯來說，
他們肯定不會轉讓自己球隊中的關鍵球星。
