弗格森敦促費迪南德續簽合同

最近關於費迪南德要投奔切爾西俱樂部的謠言在英格蘭足壇到處流傳，這讓曼聯主教
練弗格森有點坐不住了。他週二要求費迪南德趕快和俱樂部續簽合同，免得夜長夢多，謠
言變成現實。
曼聯在與費迪南德續簽合同的問題上遇到了一些麻煩。後者的經紀人扎哈維最近公開
表示，如果曼聯真有誠心，那就得給費迪南德長工資。目前這名中後衛的周薪是7·2萬英
鎊，扎哈維認為費迪南德的周薪應增加到12萬英鎊。否則，曼聯的這位後防中堅就有可能
遠走高飛。
有報道說，費迪南德近日接連兩次與切爾西俱樂部首席執行官肯翁會面。雖然雙方都
竭力表白說只是「不期而遇」，但弗格森對此表示懷疑。他說：「現在費迪南德最該做的
事情就是在合同上簽字，平息這一切事端。費迪南德說他想和俱樂部簽約，現在他有機會
。我們為他提供了一個不錯的合同，希望今後幾天事情會有個結果。」
費迪南德現在是待價而沽，打算利用切爾西和曼聯兩大豪門都對他有意而坐收漁利。
這讓曼聯球迷非常反感，認為他忘恩負義。費迪南德在錯過藥檢，被英格蘭足總禁賽8個
月期間，曼聯俱樂部始終支持他。他當時也許諾復出後要好好報答曼聯。

Fergie Tells Rio: Sign Your Deal
Sir Alex Ferguson has urged Rio Ferdinand to sign a new contract to end
the recent speculation surrounding his future at the club.
The tabloids have been flooded with stories that the England defender
has been courted by Premiership leaders Chelsea despite being in
negotiations to extend his current deal at Old Trafford.
Speaking at his pre-Everton press conference, Sir Alex said: "The best
thing Rio can do is sign his contract and put this matter to bed.
"He has said he wants to sign for the club, he's got the opportunity and
we've offered him a good deal."
"We had a nice meeting with him on Friday and we made good progress.
Hopefully it's something we can get sorted in the next few days."
Sir Alex was also quick to register his discontent at the implications
of the rumours, saying: "I've vented my disappointment at the weekend.
The recent revelations in Mondays' newspapers have only heightened our
concerns.
"We've dealt with it the right way and the Premier League are aware of
what we're doing. I don't need to say another word on that."
