Liverpool領隊Rafael Benitez明白到曼聯對Liverpool這場賽事的重要性。
Rafael Benitez希望球隊盡能力全取三分而回，繼續維持近年在Old Trafford的佳績。
他表示，他明白這場宿敵對決是像Valencia對Real madrid或Barcelona一般重要，他希望
球隊能夠取得勝利，而勝利對球隊極為重要。
Rafael Benitez將出戰其「半個恩師」Sir Alex Ferguson，當年Rafael Benitez亦曾到曼
聯跟Sir Alex Ferguson及Steve McClaren學法。
而陣中中場Harry Kewell表示，他希望重溫舊夢，再次擊敗曼聯。
