Here's what he had to say to MUTV after the game... No Highbury hangover "Given the circumstances of such a mammoth and emotional game on Tuesday night, travelling back on the night and to play at home, the pitch is not so great and I think we've done very very well. The first half we were too pedantic. The speed of our play wasn't normal. We knew that and spoke about it at half time. We needed more urgency and once we got the urgency the crowd became really active and got behind them. But we needed something to open up and Roy's produced it. It was a fantastic goal and his 50th for the club. I'm proud of him. He says it's like buses, they'll be arriving every week now! Tough opponents "Obviously Birmingham made it very difficult for us, they closed the ball down and general they worked very hard. But we needed that break and once we got that we were more confident. They hit the bar in the first half and they had a half opportunity near the end that Carroll put over the bar. Other than that I think we defended well. Congratulating Keane "He's Roy Keane. Some people can do that - they've got something inside that can revisit old times and that was the Roy Keane of 10 years ago. He's an incredible man, he really is. No matter what happens in 30 years time or 500 years from now, he'll be one of the greatest players of this club." Catching Chelsea "Well they are resilient, there's no question about that. They've been getting results and you can't dispute that. But their form's not been as good recently as it has been in the past and obviously that gives us some hope. Internationals "Rio Ferdinand's got a hamstring and Roy Keane's got a knee injury so we'll have to withdraw them. With so many games it's putting the strain on them. It's not wise them playing games midweek at this moment in time, they need time off. They've played a lot of football in the past few weeks, but all the rest of the lads are fit. I've got about 14 or 15 players away this week. It's hard to handle, but you just have to get on with it."
