Not his best day. Clearances were dodgy at times and couldn't hold free kick
for third

Chris Smalling - 6
Aerially he had no problems and was dominant but edgy on ground at times

Rafael - 6
His youthful recklessness almost cost him but he was steady for most part

Wes Brown - 7
Considering he's not started since mid-November in league he stepped into
the cauldron and hung in there

Patrice Evra - 5
Up against the lively Suarez and it was one of his toughest tasks. Won't
relish the next time

Nani - 5
Awful attempt at a clearance probably ended it for Reds and it all ended in agony

Ryan Giggs - 5
40-odd times he's played in these fixtures but won't have had many with so
little impact

Paul Scholes - 5
Early giveaway passes set the tone for an edgy United display

Michael Carrick - 5
Started with a cool head but never managed to control the frantic
midfield battle

Wayne Rooney - 5
Was unable to provide much to unhinge a Liverpool defence in command

Dimitar Berbatov - 6
Almost got United the much needed breakthrough and also early second half goal
