Wayne Rooney was left out of the starting line-up against Aston Villa
because of a family bereavement but could return against Wigan.
Michael Carrick (ankle) is out but he could return for the next game.
Ferguson will be forced into a reshuffle though, with two of his star
performers from Saturday, Paul Scholes and Nemanja Vidic both suspended.
Wes Brown is poised to step in for Vidic, while Scholes's place could be
taken by jack of all trades John O'Shea.
Wigan boss Paul Jewell has no fresh injury worries to contend with, but
he is still without seven players.
Henri Camara, Andy Webster, Antonio Valencia, Paul Scharner, Steve McMillan
and Ryan Taylor are injured, while Lee McCulloch is suspended.
