Kieran set for reserves stint

Kieran Richardson has been told that he will be spending some time with
the Manchester United reserves following his recent poor form.
Richardson has been in and out of the United side this season but was
given his chance to cement a place in the starting XI against Crewe on
Wednesday.
He failed to shine as The Red Devils edged through to the fourth round of
the Carling Cup after extra time, and Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted he was
disappointed with the performance.
The versatile 22-year-old will now have to work his way back into Ferguson's
favour with some better displays for United's second string, along with
midfielder David Jones, who was also off colour against Crewe.
"We definitely hoped for better performances," slammed Ferguson after the
Crewe game.
"Not just from one or two players, but from the whole of the team.
"I think David Jones and Kieran Richardson will both be spending some
time in the reserves."

找不到狀態，就去預備隊！弗格森的這條軍規雖然對魯尼這樣的大牌不適用，但曼
聯的邊緣人卻逃不了。左腳將裡查森就被告知，由於近期狀態糟糕，他將被降入預備隊
一段時間，與他陪綁的還有大衛-瓊斯，不過後者已經習慣在預備隊打拼了。
裡查森這個賽季在曼聯一線隊的位置很不穩定，週三的時候能夠進入聯賽杯與克魯
維比賽的首發名單，是弗格森給他機會，同時予以考察。但他的表現沒能讓主教練滿意
，最終，弗格森決定讓他好好反思一下。
「我認為，裡查森今後要在預備隊度過一段時間了，」弗格森說，「另外還有大
衛-瓊斯。顯然，我們期待著能夠有更好的狀態和表現。」為了表示這並非針對裡查森
等人，弗格森補充說：「不僅僅是一兩個球員，週三整支球隊的表現都不好。」
與此同時，在預測本賽季英超的奪冠形勢時，弗格森認為，切爾西、阿森納將和曼
聯組成三國鼎立的局面，當然也不能小視利物浦。「現在英超的形勢已經確定了，我認
為競爭會很激烈，這比去年要好的多，過去兩年，切爾西的開局都很好，一路領先，今
年我們也取得了好的開始，還有阿森納的狀態也跟上來了，今年的形勢會很有趣。」
談到週六即將面對的博爾頓，弗格森稱讚了對方主帥阿勒代斯。「他幹得很出色，
他從別處吸引了一些球員，把他們變成了出色的選手，要知道，這些球員的職業生涯往
往只剩一兩年了。」
