Saha: Chelsea still a threat

Louis Saha insists league leaders Manchester United cannot afford to
become complacent, despite a growing list of problems for Chelsea in
the title race.
United have enjoyed a fine festive period so far, extending their lead
at the top of the table to four points, with their 3-1 win against Wigan
Athletic on Boxing Day.
Chelsea have meanwhile struggled in captain John Terry's absence,
dropping two points in the 2-2 draw with Reading.
News that the England skipper faces a lengthy lay-off following back
surgery has buoyed United's hopes, but with 18 games still to play Saha
has dismissed suggestions his team have all but won the title.
"It has been a very good Christmas," Saha told MUTV.
"We have scored six goals in two games and pulled two more points in
front of Chelsea and confidence is very high.
"The target is easy to see now, but we have to make sure we reach it.
We don't have enough points to say the job is done yet."
With key men Paul Scholes and Nemanja Vidic both suspended ahead of
Saturday's home match against The Royals, Saha is wary of Steve Coppell's
men.
"This is a long season and there are a lot of tough games coming up,"
Saha continued.
"It is good to be up front but we are aware it is going to be difficult
to stay there."
United have been outclassed by The Blues over the last two seasons, and
Saha is not willing to write off the double champions yet, in spite of
all their problems.
"It is nice to know Chelsea are not playing well and are finding it
hard to get results but they are still up there challenging," he added.
"The best thing for us to do is ignore them and concentrate on our own
game.
"We are playing well, scoring goals and defending well. Some of the
football we have produced has been unbelievable.
"But we have to stay focused and carry on the way we have been, and
make sure we keep picking up the points."

薩哈認為雖然切爾西現正因球員傷患影嚮表現，而曼聯雖位居榜首，但球隊絕不能
因此而滿足。
曼聯領先切爾西四分，但球季仍有十八場聯賽要進行。
「這個聖誕實在不錯，我們兩場比賽射入了六球，並且再度拋離切爾西多兩分，大
家信心都十分高昂。」薩哈說。
「目標現在十分明確了，但我們要肯定可以達成。現階段我們沒有足夠的分數去說
任務已經完成。」
斯科爾斯與維迪奇將會於對雷丁的比賽停賽，面對前曼聯球員葛普帶領的球隊，薩
哈認為一定要打醒十二分精神。
「球季仍然是漫長的，之後還有很多硬仗。」
「現在球隊士氣高昂是好事，但必需要打醒十二分精神，才可以使我們一直確保在
榜首位置。」
曼聯過去有九次在聖誕期間領先而最終有七次可以冠軍，而薩哈也不排除在今年可
以有機會奪得兩項錦標。
「現在我們有優勢是因為切爾西最近踢得不太好，但他們仍然一直威脅我們。」
「因此最重要的是，我們不需要理會他們的表現，只需一直做好自己便可以了。」
「我們踢得十分出色，射入很多入球而防守也做得很好。我們踢出一些悅目的足球
令人不可思議。」
「但我們一定要專注前面的比賽，並且要保持著一直搶分。」
