Sunderland boss Roy Keane claims loan signing Jonny Evans has a bright
future as a United player, scuppering his chances of signing the
19-year-old on a permanent basis.
Already a Northern Ireland international, Evans has caught the eye in his
first two appearances for Keane's Black Cats this year and is continuing
to improve at a promising pace.
When asked if he thought Evans could be signed on a permanent deal, Keane
admitted: "I wouldn't have thought so. Jonny has got a great chance (at
United) and we knew that we wouldn't get him until he had signed his new
contract there.
"He's a good centre-half, he's young, he reads the game well, he's quick,
he's a determined lad and I knew he would not come here just to go through
the motions. There were other clubs interested in him but this is a great
challenge and one he is up for."
Evans' bright start at the Stadium of Light has been a success story all
round, with the lofty centre back openly delighted by his move to date.
So settled is he on Wearside, that Evans is already talking of spending
next season on loan at the Black Cats in a similar deal to that which has
seen Ben Foster spend 18 months with Watford.
"I'm loving it here," he said. "I'm delighted Sir Alex Ferguson has given
me the chance to come and play in this league. I know it's only a six-month
period but we have seen what has happened with Ben Foster.
"He was part of the squad that got Watford promoted and he has stayed there.
It has furthered his development, playing in the Premiership.
"I don't know whether that would be the case with Sunderland, if we got
promoted whether Sir Alex would let me stay. But given the way it's going,
I am enjoying it and we will see what happens."

前陣子(11, 12月)時還滿慘的
Pique有時連進大名單都沒有,
要不然就是80幾分或接近比賽結束才替補上去 =.=
