Gary Neville is refusing to lose hope in his goalscoring quest despite
being left frustrated so far this season.
The Reds' skipper is one of three outfield players - the others being Wes
Brown and Gabriel Heinze - who have drawn a blank in front of goal during
the current campaign.
The 31-year-old defender already has seven goals to his name for his United
career, but admits he should have made it into double figures by now.
"I don't think I've ever had more chances and got into better positions
than I have this season," he told MUTV. "I should have had at least four
goals this season both with United and England.
"I've been unlucky with a couple, but I've also done my usual thing with
a few of the other chances I've had and fluffed them!
"It's something that I'm very aware of and I'm annoyed with myself about.
I'm getting into positions which is good but I need to be scoring two or
three goals a season at least," added.
