布萊恩-羅布森在執教西布朗時非常瞭解庫茨扎克，他認為即使范德薩缺陣，庫茨扎
克也可以保證曼聯後防。「梅格森(Gary Megson)在我執教西布朗之前已經把庫茨扎克帶

Robbo knows Kuszczak well from his time at West Bromwich Albion.
"Gary Megson had taken Tomasz to the Hawthorns and he was understudy to
Russell Hoult when I got there," Bryan told M.E.N. Sport.
"I went and brought in Chris Kirkland on loan from Liverpool for a season
but when Chris was injured with a broken thumb I promoted Tomas.
"He did so well for me that, when Kirkland was fit again, I just couldn't
put him back in. He was terrific.
"Chris Kirkland is a very good keeper but I could drop Tomas. He is a great
athlete and a terrific lad. He is such a determined character that anything
he achieves doesn't surprise me.
"Edwin Van der Sar has been a great keeper for United but now Tomasz has been
given a chance. It's OK coming in and doing it for one game here and there
but now he can prove that he has the temperament to be a Manchester United
player.
"Now he will have to show that he can handle it all in the important games.
Can he do it? I have absolutely no doubt that he will apply himself properly
and is capable of doing it."
England's captain marvel played the bulk of his international career in a
team with Peter Shilton as the goalkeeper.
He is regarded as one of the best England keepers ever but Robson puts
Kuszczak in Shilton's class in one category at least.
"Shilts was a giant among shot-stoppers," Bryan said.
"He was among the best at that. But in terms of his reflex saves I think
Kuszczak is as good as Peter was. I can give him no higher accolade than
that."
While Kuszczak has been given an opportunity to stake his claim, Ben Foster
continues to gather plaudits for his magnificent form at Watford while on
loan from Old Trafford.
England squad member Foster will be back at the Reds for pre-season making
it a tough three-way battle for the goalkeeper's jersey.
"Sir Alex Ferguson will be in a fantastic position when he gets those three
together as his goalkeeping department," added Robson.
"United will have the best goalkeeping department in the country next season
with a shadow of a doubt."
