Evra tuned in to English football

Patrice Evra feels he is finally getting to grips with English football, which
he believes will result in more performances like his impressive display
against Fulham on Sunday.
Evra覺得他終於能適應英超的打法，他也相信在以後的比賽他會更多地演出上週末的精
豔表現。
In the 5-1 victory at Old Trafford, the 25-year-old French left-back produced
his best showing in a United shirt since arriving from Monaco in January.
在上週末的比賽中，這位二十五歲的左後衛表現是他從一月轉來曼聯後最精彩的一場比賽
。
He is single-minded in his ambition to be a regular starter for the Reds. On
the evidence of Sunday’s performance he will be a valuable member of the
squad this season, but he refuses to get ahead of himself.
他一心一意努力地想要成為隊上的正式先發。在禮拜天的比賽裡，他已經證明他是隊伍中
十分有用的一員。但他不認為自己已經成功地取得先發地位。
"Against Fulham, it was one good game. But I need to keep learning and prove
myself in training,” he told MUTV. "I know I have to take my chances when
they come because Gabby Heinze and Mikael Silvestre are challenging for the
same position.”
「對上Fulham的比賽的確是場很棒的比賽，但是我仍然需要持續學習並在訓練中證明我的
能力。」他告訴MUTV：「我知道我必須要珍惜機會好好表現，因為我知道Mika和Gabby都
在爭取同一個位置。」
Evra saw his opportunities limited towards the tail end of last season, but
that period was part of his acclimatisation to English football. He revealed
he has been working hard to adapt his game.

分努力地想要適應他的比賽。
"I understand English football better now,” he explains. “In France, when
you have the ball you are relaxed. Football in England is very quick and you
have to be strong. I go to the gym all the time and I want to be strong in
the tackle. I'm learning all the time.”
他解釋道：「我已更加瞭解英格蘭足球。在法國，當你拿到球的時候你就可以放鬆了，但
是英格蘭足球非常講究速度而且你必須要非常強壯。我總是努力地在健身房裡練習讓我能
在搶斷的時候更加強壯。我總是不停地在學習。」
He is candid about improving his defensive qualities. "Sometimes in France I
would do well in my attacking play but not so well defensively,” he admits.
“I want to find a balance - the equilibrium - between defending well and
attacking.
他坦承他在加強自己的防守功力：「在法國的時候我在進攻上做得很好，但在防守上就有
點差強人意。」他承認：「我想要找到一個平衡，一個在攻擊和防守上的平衡。」
"I want to be a good defender. In France I was attacking all the time. Now I
know that I have to defend well first, then attack.
「我想要當一個好的後衛。在法國我總是在進攻，但現在我要先把防守擺第一位，然後才
是進攻。」
"All the team are helping me to become a better player by giving my advice.
I have to listen. Every day when I wake up I thank god that I am playing for
Manchester United.
「整個隊上都在給我意見我幫助我成為一個好球員。我應該要好好地聽取、學習。每天早
上我起床的時候我都在感謝老天，並且為曼聯祈禱。」

“My target is to play regularly," he adds. "But it's important I continue to
learn and team keeps on winning."
