而且最近才和Villarreal簽下新合約

Argentina playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme has given the clearest indication
yet that he is ready to spurn the advances of Manchester United in order
to stay at Villarreal.

Riquelme's World Cup ended on Friday when Germany knocked Argentina out
of the World Cup on penalties, but this is only likely to bring forward
speculation about his future.

The talented schemer has claimed United, along with Internazionale, are
keen on his services but he has always spoken of his contentment with
Villarreal.

United have been linked with a host of midfielders since the close of the
last campaign but if Riquelme tops Sir Alex Ferguson's wish list, then it
seems the Scottish tactician will have to look elsewhere.

"It is very flattering to be linked with Manchester United but I recently
signed a new contract at Villarreal," he told the News of the World.

"And that means I will not be going anywhere."

France's exciting wide man Franck Ribery is another reported target, but
he seems set on a switch from Marseille to Lyon - with Ukraine midfielder
Maxim Kalinichenko the latest name in the frame to join the Premiership
giants.

The 26-year-old schemer impressed for his country in Germany and is believed
to have caught the eye of Ferguson.

Kalinichenko's current club Spartak Moscow are thought to be ready to strike
a deal in the region of ￡5 million but it remains to be seen whether any
such reports have real credence.
