曼徹斯特聯隊(Manchester United)已完成6.6億英鎊(合12.11億美元)債務再融資安排。
這將降低曼聯每年的利息費用，增強美國格萊澤(Glazer)家族對該足球俱樂部的控制。

知情人士稱，作為交易的一部分，曼聯已將有風險的實物支付(PIK)票據形式所欠債務
削減一半，至1.35億英鎊。

這表明曼聯財務前景開始好轉。僅是在14個月前，美國金融大亨馬爾科姆‧格萊澤
(Malcolm Glazer)及其家族剛通過慘烈的收購戰接管曼聯。

曼聯最近簽下一位新的球衣贊助商，而英超聯賽(Premier League)也簽訂新的電視轉播
協議。格萊澤的行動同樣表明，槓桿金融市場的發售方條款在不斷改善。

會把目光投向因為假球而降級的意甲豪門尤文圖斯。

　　一項複雜的財政預案今日在曼聯俱樂部的高層會議上順利通過，這項計劃把他們年
度利潤猛砍30％。

    同時每年的貸款額(利息？)也從原來的9千萬英鎊減少到6千萬英鎊。但是曼聯的總
貸款額還是上升到了6億6千萬英鎊。

　　俱樂部的發言人對外界這樣說：「這一舉措代表著俱樂部妥善的經營。它保證了主
帥佛格森有足夠的資金去引進新球員。」可以說，曼聯也正式加入搶奪尤文大牌球星的
戰役之中。

Football giant Manchester United has confirmed a refinancing package which
cuts its annual interest bill by ￡28m. 

A deal next month will see loan charges on sums borrowed from three hedge
funds fall from ￡90m ($164m) a year to ￡62m. 

As part of the restructuring plan, total debt will rise from ￡580m to
￡660m, but the club called the move "good housekeeping". 

US tycoon Malcolm Glazer bought United for ￡790m in 2005, but some fans
said his financial plan was unworkable.

Stadium enlargement 

At the time of the takeover the Shareholders United group said Mr Glazer
had no chance of being able to repay the vast sums of money he needed to
borrow to seal the deal.

However, since then United's financial situation has improved as the club
has signed a major new shirt sponsorship deal, with US insurance group AIG,
worth ￡56.5m over four years.

At the same time the Old Trafford stadium capacity has increased to 76,000
and a new Premiership TV deal with BSkyB and Setanta will also swell its
coffers.

As part of the financial shake-up, the ￡135m owed by United in the form
of higher-risk payment-in-kind notes will no longer convert into equity.

That will release the club from the possibility of being run by bankers.

'Sufficient funds' 

The restructuring is seen as key to United as they look to bolster their
squad to help them challenge for domestic and European honours.

The club said the changes now give manager Sir Alex Ferguson "sufficient
funds to compete in the transfer market", at a time when he is eyeing up
potential buys from disgraced Italian giant Juventus.

On and off the pitch, United have undergone a slight wobble during the
past couple of years.

Earlier this year, a survey said that Real Madrid had leapfrogged Manchester
United to become the world's richest football club in terms of income.

On the pitch, Chelsea have dominated the domestic league and United have
failed to make an impression in European competitions.

Meanwhile, the Glazer family has increased its presence at United and there
are now six members on the board

　但是沒錢就搶不到大牌，現在的局勢及轉會市場上，
　根本沒有那種便宜又實用又符合曼聯所需的球員阿....
  (好吧!Vieira或許可以擋一、二賽季，但傳聞要以￡8M買他有些貴，他30了)

    爵爺弗格森終於可以帶著更多的自信征戰轉會市場了———根據本週二英國《泰晤
士報》財政版的報道，曼聯俱樂部將在下個月完成董事會計劃已久的「二次舉債」。這
一行動的直接結果是，俱樂部債務總額將由眼下的5.8億英鎊增長到6.6億英鎊，但貸款
需要償還的本息將由每年的9000萬英鎊驟減2800萬降至6200萬英鎊，實際降幅達到30%。


　　俱樂部達到這一效果的途徑是用低風險、低利率的大額貸款取代了原先那部分代價
不菲的對沖基金貸款，這樣一來還讓俱樂部免除了一旦無力還貸就要由銀行接管的風險
。一名俱樂部發言人在週二表示：「這次行動顯示出俱樂部新一屆董事會出色的持家能
力，也為(主教練)弗格森爵士確保了足夠的資金投入轉會市場。」


　　事實上在美國人格雷澤爾入主老特拉福德的過去這一年當中，曼聯的確沒有像當初
極端球迷所擔心的那樣被沉重債務拖垮，相反還因為俱樂部收入的顯著增長(一是美國國
際集團替代沃達豐成為俱樂部胸前廣告贊助商，二是老特拉福德成功擴容至7.6萬人，最
後是英超新轉播合同確保俱樂部未來轉播收入增長30%)，使得董事會看到了長期分散風
險的空間。


　　當然，俱樂部能夠「二次舉債」的一大因素還有國際貨幣利率的持續下跌，但董事
會的這一舉措能否進一步安撫敵對球迷尚待觀察。很顯然，作為英格蘭足球歷史上數額
最大的一筆債務，6.6億英鎊的貸款無論如何都將限制俱樂部在轉會市場上的投入。更何
況，眼下英超賽場上還有一個花錢如流水的切爾西。


　　另一方面，既然已經開源，自然更要節流。早在俱樂部宣佈上述交易之前，爵爺就
確認了球隊將在新賽季裡繼續對外大批租借年輕球員的方針，上賽季曼聯租借出去的球
員就在10人以上，而眼下門將弗斯特、後衛皮克和伊文斯也將加入這支「外借大軍」。
不過必須看到，外借球員的好處不僅在於給俱樂部節省部分工資成本，同樣也能讓年輕
球員得到切實的鍛煉。


　　「租借政策毫無疑問是有效的」，爵爺在不久前再次重申，「如今的預備隊聯賽賽
場上出現的都是非常年輕的球員，我們有很多已具備一隊水平的球員根本無法在那裡得
到進一步鍛煉，因此最好的辦法就是讓他們加盟低級別球隊參加一隊比賽，這樣一來他
們的水平就可以獲得顯著的提高。」
