Evra laughs off Fergie joke

Patrice EvraUNITED'S Carrington training HQ might have been quieter than
usual over the past fortnight - but not quiet enough for Patrice Evra.
As one of the few United players not required for international duty, Evra
could normally only have expected Paul Scholes, Alan Smith and injured
compatriot Mikael Silvestre for company.
Instead, the former Monaco defender also had to put up with the unwanted
attention of Sir Alex Ferguson, who wasted little opportunity to remind
Evra of Scotland's Euro 2008 qualifying victory over France last weekend.
Evra told MUTV: "As soon as I got into the dressing room this week, the
boss came in singing 'La Marseillaise'.
"I was talking with Mikael Silvestre before the match and we agreed it
would be a difficult game. But Scotland only had three chances and they
scored.
"I am just glad not to have seen Darren Fletcher yet because I am sure he
will be joking with me as well."
Evra is expected to have more pressing concerns on his mind on Saturday
when the Barclays Premiership cranks back into life again.
With Silvestre sidelined for another month with a broken foot and Gabriel
Heinze struggling to overcome the hamstring injury he picked up in the win
over Newcastle prior to the international break, Evra is likely to be in
the Red Devils line-up to face Wigan at the JJB Stadium on Saturday.
