英格蘭職業球員協會（PFA）在當地時間週一公佈了年度最佳球員的候選名單，曼聯
有3名球員入選，而其他3個名額被切爾西、阿森納和利物浦瓜分，PFA同時還公佈了年度
最佳年輕球員的候選名單。
阿森納隊長亨利在2003年和2004年連續2年獲得這項殊榮，切爾西隊長特裡在2005年
首次獲得這項英格蘭個人最高榮譽，去年最佳球員的稱號則屬於利物浦隊長傑拉德。
在本年度英超最佳球員的候選名單中，曼聯佔據了一半的名額，C羅、吉格斯和斯科
爾斯將展開殘酷的「內戰」，暫時在英超射手榜領跑的德羅巴也順利入選，此外入選的
球員還有阿森納的法佈雷加斯和利物浦的傑拉德。
C羅絕對是本年度英超最佳球員的熱門，本賽季曼聯的復甦與C羅的精彩演出有著密
切的關係，但是除了C羅外，吉格斯和斯科爾斯這兩位紅魔老將也在本賽季向人們證明他
們仍然寶刀未老。
除了入選年度最佳球員的候選名單外，C羅還與阿森納的法佈雷加斯入選年度最佳年
輕球員的候選名單，在年度最佳年輕球員的候選名單中還包括曼聯前鋒魯尼、雷丁前鋒
多伊爾。熱刺邊鋒列儂、曼城後衛理查茲。
本年度英超最佳球員的評選結果將會在4月22日公佈。

Ronaldo, 22, is being acclaimed as the world's best player in some quarters
at the moment and the winger has 21 goals for Premiership leaders Manchester
United.
"Cristiano is the most exciting player in the country at the moment - the
quickness of his feet and the skills he possesses make you think, at times,
that he is from another planet," said Taylor.
Manchester United are chasing another Treble and are vying for the league
title and FA Cup with Chelsea while the clubs could also meet in the
Champions League final.
Midfielders Scholes, 32, and Giggs, 33, have also been majorly influential
for United this season.

Arsene Wenger is tipping Cristiano Ronaldo to win the PFA Players' Player
of the Year award.
The Arsenal boss says the Manchester United winger will pip Chelsea's
Didier Drogba to the coveted award at Sunday's gala dinner.
"Cristiano Ronaldo and Didier Drogba would be my one and two," Wenger told
Arsenal.com.
"You don't expect Ronaldo to score so many goals and he can provide too.
But as well I have huge respect for what Drogba has done.
"He has scored in some very big matches, also he has played in nearly all
the games. It is very difficult to separate them really."

Foster will return to Old Trafford this summer after two seasons on loan at

forefront of Sir Alex Ferguson's medium-term planning.
But the 24-year-old underlined the size of the task facing him by voting for
Edwin van der Sar as the stopper in his PFA team of the year.
Foster reveals that van der Sar was not the only Red for whom he voted in
the PFA team of the year.
He cast his vote for Footballer of the Year for Cristiano Ronaldo, saying:
