威爾士一代名將,也是現任威爾士國家隊教練斯彼得(Gary Speed)
2天前突然自殺,令人震驚跟難過

很多威爾士人不能接受....

包括...曼聯裡面我最欣賞的Giggs

他在第一時間發了致哀的消息~~~~

撇開平常我們兩隊的對立關係,這一天

以吉格斯為主的這些致哀言論

讓我們對這名偉大球星,同表哀痛....(看到基文強忍淚水比賽的畫面讓我眼眶泛紅)

Giggs leads the tributes to Gary Speed as football is left in shock




Football was united in mourning as the sport tried to come to terms with the
sudden death of Wales manager Gary Speed at 42 on Sunday morning.

Former colleagues, managers and current players all expressed their shock at
the passing of the former title winner, who was found at his home on Sunday
morning.

Supporters at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea, paid their respects to the Wales
boss - one of the most popular and experienced players of his generation - by
breaking into applause during the minute's silence before kick-off against
Aston Villa as the chant: 'There's only one Gary Speed’ broke out
spontaneously from the stands.

Making a difference: Speed had got Wales playing well and results were
improving

But the emotion was simply too much for some of Speed’s friends and former
colleagues.

Villa keeper Shay Given, a close friend and team-mate of Speed’s at
Newcastle, could not hold back his tears.
Yet both he and Villa and Wales defender James Collins took to the field. But
Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy was withdrawn from Kenny Dalglish’s side to
face Manchester City at Anfield after the manager confirmed the striker had
been ‘upset by the death of a man he considered a mentor’.

Bobby Gould, for whom Speed played during the former’s  four-year spell in
charge of Wales, said: ‘People are just stunned. I saw John Hartson earlier
and I said, “Have you heard about Gary?”

‘The big man just cried and cried. We cuddled each other. He was due to work
this afternoon at the Liberty Stadium.
‘He’s in pieces. He’s just gone home. Speedo was his big pal.’

Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs, who played with Speed for Wales, said: ‘I
am totally devastated.

News when paying tribute to Speed

Tribute: Hugo Viana paid his respects to former Newcastle team-mate Speed
with a message on his t-shirt after Braga's defeat against Porto

'Gary was one of the nicest men in football and someone I am honoured to have
called  a team-mate and friend. Words cannot describe how sad I feel at
hearing this awful news.’

Through tears, former Wales colleague Robbie Savage said: ‘He had a caring,
loving family and was doing great at his job. Why has this happened? It’s
the most incredible news I’ve heard in my lifetime.’

Another former team-mate, Hugo Viana, who played alongside Speed at Newcastle
between 2002-04, paid his own tributes after playing for Sporting Braga
against FC Porto in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

The Portugal midfielder revealed a t-shirt under his kit that read: 'Gary
rest in peace'.

Gordon Strachan, who starred alongside Speed, Gary McAllister and David Batty
in a Leeds midfield which was the foundation of a 1991-92 first division
title win, said he was stunned by the news.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: 'People have problems in footy where you have an
indication that something is wrong, but this one is right out of the blue.

'I trained beside him for six years at Leeds and I was proud of Gary Speed
every time I saw him play or train.
