曼聯領隊弗格森表示，魯尼將會於週末對艾弗頓上陣，但將可有更多選擇。
因為范尼斯特魯伊、阿蘭史密斯和薩哈都已經可以復出。
「他們三人都可以復出，實在是太好了。」弗格森說。
「在今屆不是太多時間他們四人都能夠同時候命。」
「很難去決定派出誰上場比賽，但這對於做出決定來說是十分好的。」
「這是一大鼓舞。在上星期，我仍然擔心他們可否在對AC米蘭及艾弗頓一戰中上陣。但經
過七天後，從操練可以看得到他們已經準備就緒。」
對於魯尼返回Goodison Park比賽可能會招致球迷的針對而影嚮情緒，弗格森深信魯尼可
以克服。
「魯尼狀態十分好，我不認為不會派他上陣。」
「我認為他可以控制好自己的情緒。」
「艾弗頓與曼聯在過去多年的關係一直良好，兩間球會之間一直都沒有問題存在，在週末
的比賽將也是一樣。」
「明顯地，一個球員回到他的前球會比賽，是有一點困難，這些事經常都發生的。」

Manchester UnitedManchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed
he is willing to play Wayne Rooney at Everton but he has more striking
options at his disposal than at any other point in 2005.
The United boss is able to call upon Ruud van Nistelrooy, Alan Smith,
Louis Saha and Rooney and has a wealth of talent available for the
FA Cup fifth round trip to Goodison Park.
"It's fantastic to have all three of them back," he said, referring
to van Nistelrooy, Smith and Saha.
"It's probably one of the few times I've had them all available, which
is great.
"I have a big decision to make regarding who should play and who should
be on the bench but it's good to have that a decision.
"It's a big bonus because, last week, I didn't think all four would be
ready for the Milan game or the Everton game. But now, after seven days
of watching them in training, I know they are ready.
"So I'm quite convinced that they are all ready to play."
There will be an obvious temptation to rest Rooney and spare him a hostile
reception from the fans who once worshipped the teenager.
However, Ferguson believes the England international can handle the
atmosphere on Merseyside.
"Wayne's been fantastic," he exclaimed. "I don't think I have to spell
that out.
"I think he will handle it.
"The relationship between Everton and Manchester United over the years
has been outstanding. There's never been any problem between both clubs
and that will be the same after tomorrow.
"Obviously with any player going back to his former club, he's going to
get a bit of stick.
"That happens all the time."
