The veteran Dutchman's shot stopping was unquestionable
as usual but clearances put Reds in a panic and cost them goal with poor
effort to get rid
Nemanja Vidic - 7
The Serbian skipper got it plenty of his usual blocks but
crucially couldn't handle it and get one in when Toure went round him for
City's goal
John O'Shea - 6
Silva was popping up here there and everywhere so he didn't
always have an opponent to mark but didn't have an easy time of it when he
was up against it
Rio Ferdinand - 6
Less impact in this big match than he has done than of late
and when City's big boys Balotelli and Toure ran at Reds he found it tough to
contain them
Patrice Evra - 6
The Frenchman had an even tussle all afternoon but it looked
to take a heavy toll on him as he looked shattered late on

Architect of so much of United's good work when the Reds were
mon top but when is he ever going to learn - at 36 probably never now
Michael Carrick - 5
Has been the mastermind of so much of United's great
attacking play recently in his renaissance period but slipped back to old
ways and sloppiness cost Reds goal
Park Ji-Sung - 8
When City were on top it was the energetic Korean, who else,
who at least stopped them playing keep ball. AS ever he put the zip into
United
Nani - 7
Started off like he was going to rule Wembley and had City constantly
on back foot faded but came back into it and produced a free kick that Hart
had to push onto bar
Antonio Valencia - 5
He has been so good in his comeback matches of late that
it was a huge disappointment that he never really caused that much danger to
the Blues on the rare occasions he got hold of the ball
Dimitar Berbatov - 5
Two atrocious misses for a striker of his normal standard
and set the tone of a miserable evening for the Bulgarian in a rare big game
chance
