Veteran vikings to face Villa
Sir Alex Ferguson will pair Scandinavian strikers Henrik Larsson
and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against Aston Villa in Sunday's FA Cup tie
at Old Trafford.
Louis Saha picked up a groin injury in the Reds' draw with Newcastle,
and his enforced absence has created an opportunity to pair Solskjaer,33,
and Larsson, 35, against the Villains.
It was with Sunday's cup tie, and back-to-back 90 minute outings
against Wigan and Reading, in mind that Solskjaer was rested for the
trip to Tyneside.
Sir Alex revealed after the game: "I didn't take Ole to Newcastle
because he has played two games in four days. I thought he would be
better resting ready for Sunday's match. He will play along with Larsson."
Larsson is available to make his debut after signing on a 10-week loan
deal from Swedish side Helsingborgs.
