Watford will be without first-choice keeper Ben Foster as he is ineligible
to play against the club that own him so Richard Lee is likely to step in.
Clarke Carlise is back in contention in defence while James Chambers is
expected to shake off a knock in time.
Manchester United will again be missing French striker Louis Saha, who is
still struggling with a hamstring problem. Although Sir Alex Ferguson
believes he will be fit to face Middlesbrough on Saturday week.
Rio Ferdinand should be fit to line up at Villa Park after limping out of
the midweek thumping of Roma, but John O'Shea (calf) is the only minor doubt
from the midweek rout of Roma, while Paul Scholes returns from a ban.
Ji-sung Park is still missing, while long-term absentees Gary Neville,
Nemanja Vidic and Mikael Silvestre are all still out.

MANCHESTER UNITED will have to go some to emulate Tuesday's 7-1 victory over
AS Roma in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Sir Alex Ferguson,
who called it the greatest ever European evening at Old Trafford, will warn
his players against complacency as they pursue another leg of the Premiership,
Champions League and FA Cup treble against a struggling club they've beaten
on their last eight League and Cup meetings, and not lost to since an away
top flight reverse nearly 21 years ago.
This season's League meetings both went to the eight times Premiership title
winners. The first at Vicarage Road was the closest - the reverse was a one
sided affair.
This is only the fourth time these clubs have been drawn together in the FA
Cup. Dutchman Jan Lohman notched the only goal in the most recent meeting -
a third round contest in 1982.
United have knocked out the Hornets twice, the last being at the fourth round
stage in 1969, when it went to a replay after a 1-1 draw. The legendry Denis
Law scored all three of United's goals in that encounter.
United have had to face Premiership opposition all the way in this season's
FA Cup run. They've already accounted for Aston Villa and Portsmouth at the
first time of asking, and Reading and Middlesbrough after replays. This is
their 25th appearance in the semi-finals - equalling Arsenal's record.
The Old Trafford giants are setting their sights on reaching a record
breaking 18th FA Cup final, and then going on to lift the trophy for a 12th
time, thus increasing the outright record they already hold.
Seven of the previous 17 final appearances were under Sir Alex Ferguson,
and five of those were victorious (1990, 1994, 1996, 1999 and 2004). Sir
Alex has won 17 major trophies as United manager and 26 titles in total
in his managerial career in Scottish and English football, which equals
Jock Stein's post-war record.
This is the 55th FA Cup semi-final to be staged at Villa Park.
