Reds Face Potential Wolves Trip
United will make the trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in
the fourth round of the FA Cup, should they overcome Burton in a third
round replay.
The Reds' last visit to Molineux, in January 2004, ended disappointingly
as Sir Alex Ferguson's side slipped to a shock 1-0 defeat as they were
overhauled by Arsenal in the Premiership title race.
The sides have met in the FA Cup seven times of which United have won
three, Wolves have won two and there have been two draws. The last meeting
in the competition, also at Molineux, ended in a 3-2 United win.
The tie will be played on either January 28 or 29. The replay against
Burton has been scheduled for Wednesday January 18 and will be shown
live on BBC 1.
Other outstanding ties see Bolton face Arsenal, while Portsmouth host
Liverpool.
