上週六，歐足聯19歲以下錦標賽落幕，西班牙青年隊在最後一戰中擊敗了蘇格蘭隊
，在最近的五年當中第三次捧起了這項賽事的冠軍獎盃。
在比賽中，曼聯19歲的中後衛皮奎表現相當出色，他的空中優勢非常的明顯，統治
著西班牙隊的禁區，並且在定位球進攻中製造了不少威脅。上半時，皮奎曾經在一次角
球進攻中頭球擊中蘇格蘭隊的橫樑，隨後在距離比賽還有19分鐘時，又無私的助攻隊友
破門得分。
在這屆大賽中，19歲的皮奎表現一直非常搶眼，他是這支西班牙青年隊後防的中堅
力量。2004年，皮奎從西班牙的巴塞羅那隊加盟曼聯，他曾當選過加泰羅尼亞地區的年
度最佳新秀。在未來的曼聯，他有可能接過費迪南德等人的接力棒，成為曼聯一名出色
的中衛選手。

Spain clinch U19 title

Gerard Pique's Spain won the UEFA European U19 Championship on Saturday,
beating Scotland to seal the title for the third time in five years.
The 19-year-old United centre-back was one of his side's most important
players throughout the tournament, and gave another sterling display
against Archie Gemmill's side.
The resolute Scots held firm until just after half-time, when Alberto Bueno
beautifully lobbed home from outside the area to move the favourites ahead.
Having already hit the crossbar with a header from a corner, Pique's aerial
dominance was demonstrated again as he unselfishly pulled the ball back for
Bueno's trophy-clinching strike 19 minutes from time.
The Scots pulled a late goal back through substitute Graham Dorrans, but
Spain held firm to deservedly take the spoils.
