There was disappointment for several United stars on international duty on
Wednesday evening.
UEFA European Championship, Austria-Switzerland 2008, Qualifying Round
Group D
2/7 San Marino １－２ Republic of Ireland (O'Shea, Gibson)
O'Shea played - outfield - for the first half of the Republic of Ireland's
dramatic 2-1 victory over San Marino. Stephen Ireland poked home the winner
five minutes into added time to spare the Irish boys' blushes in the Euro
2008 qualifier. Steve Staunton's side now lie third in Group D. Reds'
youngster Darron Gibson was an unused substitute.

Javier Saviola's first-half strike. Gaby played the full 90 minutes and
picked up a booking for his efforts. His rival for United's left-back
berth Patrice Evra was an unused sub for France.

goalkeeper Ben Foster (currently on loan at Watford) were among the England
players booed off the pitch at Old Trafford following the 1-0 defeat to
Spain.
