it was a successful tactic

Defended with authority and showed he has a goalscoring
edge to him as well

Rio Ferdinand 6
A comfortable night as Scunthorpe chose to keep their
distance. Solid when needed

After some early crunching tackles registered his intent it all
calmed down

Wes Brown 6
Was a shade rusty in some moments but then nothing got past him
early

Darron Gibson 7
The Irishman settled United down with his quality leveller

Foraged well in the midfield but couldn't quite get the killer
passing going

Well struck goal and typically harassed the home side when
the midfield had possession
