曼聯拒絕再度四大皆空 費迪南德誓稱霸聯賽杯

曼聯的後防大將費迪南德表示他不願看到紅魔再一個賽季四大皆空，本周的聯賽杯決
賽他一定要幫助曼聯戰勝維甘奪得這個錦標。
在英超聯賽上落後切爾西12分，如果曼聯未能在本週日對陣維甘的聯賽杯決賽中獲勝
，那麼幾乎可以肯定紅魔將連續第二個賽季四大皆空。曼聯本賽季先是在冠軍聯賽小組賽
最後一場比賽中不敵本菲卡，小組墊底被淘汰出局連聯盟杯的資格也沒有獲得，而在足總
杯第五輪的比賽中，曼聯又客場不敵利物浦，失去了爭奪這個錦標的機會，而聯賽中由於
切爾西穩定的發揮，12分的差距基本不可能追上，曼聯本賽季能夠獲得的錦標就只剩下聯
賽杯了。
「我不希望在曼聯再次渡過一個沒有冠軍的賽季。」費迪南德在曼聯的官方網站上說道
：「聯賽以及冠軍聯賽本來應該是優先考慮的錦標，但是獲得任何一個錦標都是好的，因
為這樣能夠鼓勵我們去贏得更多的冠軍。」費迪南德非常希望自己能夠在本場比賽中復出
幫助曼聯取勝，這位英格蘭中衛在上周足總杯曼聯不敵利物浦的比賽前腿筋受傷無法上陣
。如果費迪南德能夠及時復出，那麼他的中衛搭檔幾乎可以肯定是布朗。
由於史密斯重傷與斯科爾斯一樣本賽季都無法再次上陣，中場中路這個位置的人選將
會令弗格森非常煩惱，反而在鋒線上弗格森不用擔心太多，范尼斯特魯伊本賽季在英超聯
賽的射手榜上暫時領先，薩哈在聯賽杯也不時有精彩演出，再加上英格蘭天才射手魯尼，
曼聯有能力贏得任何一場比賽。
費迪南德繼續說道：「魯尼是一名足球天才，如果在我剩下的職業生涯中都能夠與他
那樣的球員共同效力，那麼我將會感到非常幸運。他能夠憑借自己的努力去扭轉比賽的局
面，有他這樣的球員在你陣中是一件非常幸運的事情，他絕對是我見過的最好的球員之一
，他還有潛力變得更好。」

曼聯後防李奧費迪南表示，曼聯絕對不能容忍再一個球季沒有錦標。
曼聯今屆歐冠杯與足總杯都已經出局，而聯賽亦落後切爾西十二分，餘下只有聯賽杯
是最有可能奪得的錦標。
李奧費迪南則極希望在週日的決賽可以擊敗韋根以奪取今屆極可能是唯一可以爭取的
冠軍。
「我不希望再一個球季沒有錦標。」李奧費迪南說。
「聯賽與歐冠杯當然是最重要的兩項錦標，不過任何錦標我們都應該去爭取的。」
李奧費迪南在早前大腿輕微拉傷而未能出戰利物浦，不過極有可能可以在週日上陣。
Rio Ferdinand says it would be tough to go through another season at
Manchester United without securing any silverware.
The Red Devils have had a poor season by their own lofty standards, as
they are well off the pace in The Premiership and out of the FA Cup and
UEFA Champions League - leaving just the Carling Cup as a realistic target.
Wigan stand in United's way at The Millennium Stadium this weekend and
Ferdinand is determined to help bring the trophy back to Old Trafford.
He has yet to secure Cup glory with The Red Devils, as he had to watch
the 2004 FA Cup final win on account of a missed drugs test, and is
determined to set the record straight.
"I don't want to go another season without winning something with United,"
he told the official Manchester United magazine. "That would do my head in.
"The title and the Champions League were the priorities but any trophy
will do because it could be the catalyst for us to win some more."
Ferdinand missed last week's defeat at Liverpool with a hamstring strain,
but is confident of taking the field in Cardiff on Sunday.
Red Devils keeper Edwin van der Sar has also moved to rally the troops by
stressing the importance of Sunday's contest.
"The final has become massive after losing to Liverpool," said the Dutchman.
"We need it for the entire club."
