Blackburn v Chelsea
United have been drawn away to Crewe Alexandra in the Carling Cup third
round.
It'll be the sixth meeting between the two sides, the most recent of which
took place just under two years ago when the pair were drawn together at
exactly the same stage of the competition.
Goals from Alan Smith and Liam Miller, plus an own goal from Stephen Foster
gave the Reds a 3-0 victory at The Alexandra Stadium.
This year's tie will be played the week commencing 23 October.
United are unbeaten against Crewe in the five meetings between the two sides,
although four of those games took place in the late 1800's!
Meanwhile, Chelsea face a tricky trip to Blackburn, while Arsenal will travel
to West Brom. Liverpool play host Reading and Newcastle will entertain fellow
Premiership team Portsmouth at St. James' Park.
