Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has sprung a surprise by including
Louis Saha and Darren Fletcher in his squad to face Roma.
The pair have been out for five weeks with hamstring and ankle injuries
respectively and were expected to play for the reserves on Thursday.
However, they have both travelled to Italy for the first leg of the
Champions League quarter-final.
But Park Ji-Sung is out of the match with a knee injury.
Defenders Gary Neville (ankle), Patrice Evra, Mikael Silvestre (shoulder)
and Nemanja Vidic (collarbone) are all out of the tie so Wes Brown and Rio
Ferdinand are set to pair up in central defence to contain Roma playmaker
Francesco Totti.
Roma are missing Max Tonnetto (injured) and David Pizarro (suspended).
They will probably employ a 4-2-3-1 formation and are strong through the
middle, with Phillipe Mexes and Christian Chivu solid in defence.
Roma will also be forced to make changes in defence, with Christian Panucci
set to move from right to left-back to fill in for the injured Max Tonetto
and Marco Cassetti stepping in on the right.
All eyes will be on Francesco Totti, but Amantino Mancini is a lively
customer and Daniele De Rossi an efffective midfielder.

AS Roma are unbeaten in their last nine home matches in European competition.
Real Madrid were the last club to have beaten Roma in Rome (0-3) in December
2004.
The Italians have kept a clean sheet in their last three Champions League
matches, and are one of only two clubs to reach this year's quarter finals
