KUSZCZAK: 7
made two crucial saves to keep United on level terms and had no
chance with Wolfsburg equaliser.

PARK: 7
ran himself to a standstill up and down United's right flank as full
back and midfield. 

CARRICK: 7
never considered himself a central defender but used brain rather
than brawn to great effect.

FLETCHER: 8
barely gave an inch to Brazilian Grafite who was eventually
substituted such was the Scotsman's mastery over him. 

EVRA: 8
stand-in skipper adapted quickly to his role in a back three and
produced succession of timely tackles. 

NANI: 5
continues to frustrate the life out of United fans and this display
won't win over the doubters. 

GIBSON: 7
injuries have given the Irishman his chance but again didn't look out
of place on elite stage.

SCHOLES: 8
the midfield general displayed full repertoire of passing skills to
show he still merits regular place. 

WELBECK: 7
willing foil for 'veteran' strike partner Owen.

ANDERSON: 6
some misplaced passes marred what would have been a fine display by
the Brazilian.

OWEN: 9
are you watching Fabio? his sensational hat-trick gave the England boss
more than a nudge for next year's World Cup.

OBERTAN\: 7
(for Welbeck 74): created two goals in his brief stay on the pitch.

VALENCIA: 6 
(for Nani 74): didn't make the same impact as the Frenchman.
