想。
馬爾蒂尼這名字在意大利球壇別具意義。
1963 年，施薩·馬爾蒂尼協助 AC 米蘭以 2-1 擊敗本菲加，替 AC 米蘭高舉歐洲杯。
40 年後，其兒子保羅·馬爾蒂尼以隊長身份於 2003 年在老特拉福德球場順利捧杯，而
AC 米蘭也 6 度奪得歐洲俱樂部賽事最高殊榮 (1963、1969、1989、1990、1994、2003)。
週三晚，36 歲的馬爾蒂尼將帶領 AC 米蘭作客曼聯，他接受日本足球雜誌訪問時表示：
當你知道在首圈淘汰賽將與曼聯碰頭時，你有甚麼感覺？
「我對是次抽籤沒有甚麼感覺。當然我們希望在這階段避免與一些球隊遇上，但我們已準
備好。曼聯是一支好球隊，我認為週三將會為球迷帶來一場精彩的賽事。」
曼聯優點在哪裡？
「他們是其中一支最難應付的球隊，他們有機會贏得今次賽事。而近年他們一直在歐洲賽
事中表現出色。」
你認為擊敗曼聯的關鍵是甚麼？
「如果我們的傷將全部可復出，而己隊體能狀態又理想的話，我們將可取勝。一隊完整的
米蘭軍團不會害怕任何對手。」
米蘭還有甚麼要改善？
「在死球防守方面，我們還未應付得宜。」
有哪些曼聯球員要特別留意？
「曼聯有不少一級球員。例如無人不曉的范尼斯特魯伊，他們還有 C.羅納爾多、魯尼和斯
科爾斯等。」
要贏取冠軍杯，有甚麼必要的條件？
「在冠軍杯，隊伍水準很高，面對的都是歐洲最強的球隊。首先你要保持高度集中力，當
然還要相信自己的能力。」

Maldini: United Have The Potential To Win The Cup
Astonishingly, Paolo Maldini is chasing a fifth European Cup winners' medal,
but the Rossoneri stalwart says United could end his, and Milan's, European
hopes...
The name Maldini has special sigificance in Italian football.
Cesare Maldini began the family trend for success when he lifted the European
Cup for AC Milan in 1963 after a 2-1 victory over Benfica at Wembley.
Forty years later Paolo Maldini completed a unique family double when he
emulated his father and skippered Milan to their sixth European Cup final
success (at Old Trafford) following their previous wins in '63, '69, '89,
'90 and '94.
It was Paolo's fourth winners' medal in a Milan shirt and it moved him to
within two of the record established by Francisco Gento who played in Real
Madrid's winning teams of 1956-60 and 1966.
On Wednesday night Paolo will return to the scene of one of his greatest
triumphs when Milan take on United in the first leg of the Champions League
knock-out stages.
The 36-year-old defender will once again lead his side out at Old Trafford
as they continue in their quest for another European title. But ahead of the
match, Maldini admits that in United, Milan face a side more than capable of
securing the Champions League crown...
What were your initial thoughts when Milan were paired with United in the draw
for the first round knock-out stages?
"I didn’t have any preferences for the draw. There were obviously teams that
we would have preferred to avoid, at least at this stage. But we’re charged
up. Manchester are a great team and I think it will be an extraordinary duel
to watch for those that come to the stadium."
How good a side are United?
"They are one of the most difficult sides we could have drawn. As a team, they
have the potential to win the cup. We’re talking about a team that has been
on the crest of the wave in Europe for years."
What will be the key to gaining victory over United?
"If we get all our injured players back and if our physical condition is good,
we can win. I think that a full-strength Milan side shouldn’t be frightened
of anyone."
Is there anything you feel Milan need to improve upon ahead of the tie?
"We’re still having a few problems defending from dead-ball situations. We
have to work hard to erase this handicap which is creating problems for us."
Which United players will you be keeping a particularly close eye on?
"Manchester have some first-rate players. If we say van Nistelrooy, everyone
knows who we’re talking about. And if we add names like Ronaldo, Rooney and
Scholes, we realise the kind of class players we are up against. But we just
have to play like we know how and then see what happens."
What are the necessary qualities that you need to win Champions League?
"The level of play is obviously much higher in the Champions League and you
face the best of the best in Europe. The first thing you have to do is keep
your concentration very high in order that you can take advantage of your
own qualities. Then you need to take it one step at a time and believe in
yourselves."
