Internazionale have replaced Galatasaray in the pre-season Amsterdam
Tournament, which begins on August 4.
The Turkish side had to withdraw from the prestigious friendly competition,
which has been running since 1999, after their domestic league was brought
forward by a week.
The Nerazzurri swiftly filled the gap to confirm their participation for
the second time, with Manchester United, Ajax and Porto the other three
teams involved.
Held at Ajax's Amsterdam ArenA, the Amsterdam Tournament is widely
regarded as the most high-profile friendly competition and will offer
United fans the chance to see former defender Jaap Stam in action for
his new side.
Last season Arsenal emerged victorious in the Dutch capital, whilst Sir
Alex Ferguson's side came third in the 2002 competition.

Internazionale from Milan will replace Galatasaray in the LG Amsterdam
Tournament on 4 and 5 August in the Amsterdam ArenA. The Turkish FA have
recently decided to start the league in Turkey a week earlier.
That means that the club would have to play their first league matcht
during the weekend of the tournament. Tickets already purchased remain
valid. Information about the giving back tickets will follow as soon
as possible.
Tournament organiser The International Event Partnership reacts:"We are
sorry for the supporters of Galatasaray, who cannot see their club in
action, especially because their was great interest for the matches they
would play against Manchester United and Porto. "
"However, the fact that Internazionale was very willing to replace them,
shows that world-class teams accept an invitation for this event, even
at short notice."
The Italian Cup winners, last February the opponents of Ajax in the UEFA
Champions League, are eager to take part in the LG Amsterdam Tournament,
it being the perfect preparation for next season's European adventure.
On Friday 4 August at 19.00 hrs, Manchester United face Porto, followed by
Ajax against Inter at 21.15 hrs.
On Saturday 5 August at 19.00 hrs, it's Porto - Inter after which Ajax and
Manchester United will close off the LG Amsterdam Tournament at 21.15 hrs.
