Keane: I must be nicer

Manchester UnitedRoy Keane has revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson has asked
him to give Manchester United's younger players a break.
Keane has often criticised those he feels are not giving everything for
the cause, but the Red Devils skipper is trying to ease off.
"The manager has told me I need to lighten up so I'm trying to be more
relaxed from now on," said Keane.
"But when you look through the team we have a lot of naturally quiet
players and that's why I keep telling them to communicate with each other.
"It's easy to give someone a rollicking when they are having a poor
game but I do try to gee up players as well.
"I sometimes worry that I go over the top but these lads do need to
be told.
"I'm not getting frustrated anymore. I needed to lighten- up so I've
been quite relaxed about things.
"I suppose we are going through a transitional stage, but we knew that
was going to happen a couple of years ago when we bought the players we
did.
"It takes time for a team to come together and people might use that as
an excuse, but people simply don't settle in overnight.
"Hopefully it won't take too long before the whole thing really clicks
into place and obviously we hope that happens before the end of the
season. But believe it or not, I'm quite relaxed about it.
"Looking at the players we've got, the manager, the staff, and the way
they're all focused on winning football matches, we have the ability
and desire.
"But I know that ultimately people will judge us on our actions, not our
intentions - that's what we are paid for."
Meanwhile, Sepp Blatter has added his support to the Manchester United
fans battling to keep the club out of the hands of American tycoon
Malcolm Glazer.
"Not all change is for the better and the continued commercialisation of
football is one case in point," said Blatter.
"It is heart-warming to see true fans work and I commend you and thousands
of Manchester United fans for your collective effort."
