United sign new keeper

Reds Sign Young German Stopper


Manchester United have completed the signing of 16-year-old goalkeeper 
Ron-Robert Zieler from FC Cologne.

The German keeper has signed on a scholarship scheme and
will join United's Academy in July.

Zieler arrived at Carrington on Friday afternoon to sign scholarship forms
with the Reds.

The signing of the highly-rated teenager from Bundesliga club FC Cologne
is further evidence of the United's policy of throwing the net
further afield to attract young talent.

The Reds made the summer capture of 18-year-olds Gerard Pique
and Giuseppe Rossi from Barcelona and Parma respectively.

曼聯與效力科隆的年青門將Ron-Robert Zieler簽下合約，將會在來季加盟球會。

該名德國籍門將與降曼聯簽下３年合約。

「這種感覺實在很好。」Zieler說。

「有機會與世界級球星一起比賽，實在是很難得的機會。」

「而我本身對Ruud van Nistelrooy和領隊Sir Alex Ferguson都有著很深刻的印象。」

「我在這裡將會很有衝勁、紀律和抱負。」

「錢不是重要因素，我只想踢足球。」

而曼聯的青年教練亦表示，十六歲的Zieler是歐洲球壇中，同年紀最出色的一員。
