查爾頓官方網站證實了Spector加盟的消息，租借一年(0506賽季)，
特殊情況下曼聯有權在一月份中止租借。

7.14 Pre-season #1
Welling United 1-1 Charlton Athletic
Charlton上下半場各用一套陣容，Spector踢了下半場。
這場Spector中後衛，表現似乎不錯。

由於查爾頓目前從國際米蘭買來了烏拉圭中衛Sorondo，
而南非老後衛Fish很可能被release。
所以目前Charlton後防人員配置情況︰
中衛主力Sorondo, Fortune, 主要替補Perry和Ricketts
右後衛位置基本由Kishishev和Young壟斷
左後衛主力Hreidarsson
替補是本場友誼賽打主力的老將Powell
由此來看Spector的定位應該是主力替補，最有可能機會是在左後衛位置上。
7.16 Pre-season #2
AFC Bournemouth 2-5 Charlton Athletic
Spector首發，上半場一次禁區內與對手的糾纏被判點球，第52分鐘被替換下場。

Spector換到左後衛的位置上，打滿全場。

Spector只踢了上半場，受了點小傷，不過可以繼續堅持比賽。

Spector踢滿全場，似乎首先踢中後衛，70幾分鐘隊友受傷下場後改踢左後衛，
