Febian Brandy攻入唯一的一球, 這也是他這賽季的第6球
United's Under-18s suffered their first defeat for more than a month as
Bolton inflicted a 2-1 defeat on the young Reds.
Febian Brandy scored his sixth goal in seven matches for the Under-18s so
far this season, but it wasn't enough for Paul McGuinness' side.
For Bolton it was revenge after United's Reserves emphatically beat the
Trotters' second string 4-1 last week.
Brandy put the Reds in front after quarter of an hour, latching onto a
through-ball and slotting the ball home with a fine low finish.
But Bolton struck back with goals after 36 and 44 minutes to claim a
half-time lead.
There was very little to choose between the two teams, but in the second
half goalscoring chances dried up and Bolton held on for the win, United's
first defeat since losing to Huddersfield at the start of September.
United:
Amos, Derbyshire, Chester, Eckersley, Lea, McCormack (Norwood, 70), Eikrem,
Drinkwater, Welbeck, Brandy, Fagan.
