D'oh! The Simpsons say no to Becks!

The Simpsons is famous for getting the biggest celebs in the world to
play a part, but they've said no to one of the biggest stars in Britain
.
The famous family are heading for the UK for their 300th episode, and
during their trip bump into JK Rowling and LOTR star Sir Ian McKellan.
And for a while, they might have met David Beckham too!
But as one of the show's executive producers explained,
the England
captain just isn't famous enough in America.
Al Jean said: "We thought about it, we didn't ask. I've heard of him
because my daughter plays soccer."
The 300th episode of The Simpsons will be shown on Sky One on 20 April.
