SHAY GIVEN has vowed to help and hinder Joe Hart's career at the same time!
Given, 32, who is preparing for Ireland's World Cup qualifiers with Bulgaria
this afternoon and Italy on Wednesday, intends to stay City's first choice
ahead of Hart and Kasper Schmeichel but wants to help them become better
keepers.
"They've helped me and I'd like to think I've helped them as well," said the
￡8million signing from Newcastle. "It's not the easiest situation for them.
We all want to play in the team and they're no different. But I'm trying to
keep them out."
City boss Mark Hughes added: "He's helping the young keepers, which was a
big part of the reason I wanted to bring him here."

pace' after a strategy meeting with club executives this week.
Hughes' position is under scrutiny following the huge investment made by
