[微積] 高微的一個性質

我想問一下

我記得有一個性質是

Let f a continuous function defined on R and
f(G) an open set in R. Then the set G is always open.

這個性質是對的嗎？我有沒有少加什麼1-1或onto的條件

因為我記得有這個性質 但手上沒書 但又必須知道  有沒有人告訴我對或錯？
