    DALLAS (August 2, 2005) — The Dallas Mavericks announced today they have
signed free agent forward Josh Powell. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

   “Josh not only processes talent and potential for growth, but also has two
years of valuable experience at the highest level in Europe,” said President
of Basketball Operations/Assistant Coach Donnie Nelson. “He joins a familiar
group of Mavericks that he has worked with in the past and will continue to
grow with in the future.”

    Powell (6-9, 225) was a member of the 2005 Mavericks Summer League team
that played in the Vegas Summer League and the Rocky Mountain Revue. In 9
combined games, he averaged 11.5 points and a team-high 8.2 rebounds in 25.8
minutes while shooting 50.0% from the field. Powell also played Summer League
for the Mavericks in 2003.

    Last season, Powell played for Pepsi Caserta in the Italian Lega 2. He
averaged 15.9 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 34 games. He also shot
60.4% from the field.

    Powell went undrafted in the 2003 NBA Draft after two seasons at North
Carolina State. As a sophomore, he ranked seventh in the ACC in blocks (1.3),
18th inrebounding (5.3) and 20th in scoring (12.4). He was a First Team
All-ACC Tournament selection after averaging 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and
3.0 blocks in 3 games. During his freshman season, he was named to the ACC
Honor Roll posting a 3.45 grade-point average.

  打的是前鋒 以身高來說應該也會是小前鋒吧

  打過幾次的夏季聯盟  數據都還不錯(尤其是籃板)

  感覺像是另一個小豪= =+(這只是期待啦Orz)

  只是..這麼一來鐵牛哥走的機會就更大了= =b

  不過.. 至少我們的小前鋒和分衛會"真的很強"

  還有..聽說小范 Van Exel 想要到德州結束他的運動生涯

  在阿姆大叔合約到期的這個時候  小范是個不錯的選擇喔!!

  他應該也不會太要求薪資吧(畢竟他是被丟掉的= =a)

  總而言之..好想看到Terry和Van Exel 這長襪雙衛阿XDD
