Dirk's thumb sore, but not seriously injured

DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki's expects his right thumb to be sore for a while, but
he didn't sustain a serious injury.
Nowitzki said he bruised the thumb on his shooting hand a couple of games
ago. It got hit again during the third quarter of Wednesday's win over the
Golden State Warriors, prompting Nowitzki to go to the bench for a quickie
tape job.
The tape apparently didn't bother Dirk too much. He scored nine of his 20
points in the fourth quarter, making all three of his field goal attempts.
"You know something significant happened because he usually doesn't come out
of the game for anything like that," coach Rick Carlisle said. "His pain
tolerance and will to finish and play through pain is really unusual."
How long will the injury sideline Nowitzki? No games, but ...
"Probably practice tomorrow, I hope," he joked.
達拉斯 - Dirk Nowitzki 預期他的右手手指將會痛陣子，不過他並沒有受到
很嚴重的傷勢。
Dirk 表示他在前幾場比賽就已經傷到右手手指，只是今天比賽第三節的時候
又不小心被打到，使得他當時不得不下場去包紮手指。
儘管手指上有包紮，Dirk還是沒有受到影響。他在關鍵第四節得了他9分，
第四節的FG是漂亮的3投-3中。
Carlisle 表示：「當你看到Dirk要求下場的時候，你就知道他一定是出現一些
問題，不如依照他的個性，是不會隨便要求下場的。要不是
真的不行了，他不會因為一些傷就不打球」。
當被問到有關 Dirk 是否會缺席比賽?
Carlisle開玩笑的表示：「他不會缺席比賽。不過至於明天的練球，
我希望他可以休息」。
