It sounds like Jason Terry is on track to be in the 3-point contest during
All-Star Weekend.
He could barely contain his enthusiasm when asked if - if - he was going to
be involved in All-Star Weekend this morning at the announcement of the
T-Mobile Rookie Challenge participants.
"I'm already getting involved, any way I can, any form or fashion,'' Jet
said. "Hopefully I'll put my bid in and campaign to be in the 3-point
contest. And with it here in Dallas, I got home-court advantage and hopefully
I can win it.''
And if Jason Terry gets in at about 35 percent for the season from 3-point
range, what about Jason Kidd, who is shooting over 41 percent?
There could be other participants in some of the events with local ties, too.
It wouldn't be surprising to see Frisco D-League coach Nancy Lieberman and
maybe Spud Webb or Rolando Blackman joining Dirk Nowitzki for the
three-person Haier Shooting Stars competition.
