Terry settles into starter's groove

accepted the sixth man role last season and flourished. But,
stuck in a rut this season, coach Rick Carlisle made the move
to Terry last week in Washington when Josh Howard was out sick.
It appears Carlisle is set to stick with Terry, who finished
with 21 points and hit 4-of-6 from 3-point range in Tuesday's
108-107 win over Milwaukee, as the starting shooting guard as
long as he continues to give the typically slow-starting Mavs
an early kick start.
"It's been a little frustrating for me offensively not being able
to find a rhythm, whatever it be, teams making an adjustment
knowing I'm coming in at a certain time or whatever, it just wasn't
happening," said Terry, whose overall and 3-point field-goal
percentage have flirted with or close to career lows. "So putting
me in a starting role now, I'm out there with J-Kidd [Jason Kidd]
and Dirk [Nowitzki] early on and my job is to get it started and
I've been able to do so in the last couple games."
He did that again in the first quarter Tuesday with six points,
including a 3-pointer. Then he provided his typical finishing kick
with Nowitzki. Terry had nine points in the final period on 4-of-5
shooting. He and Nowitzki combined for 17 of the team's 25 points,
including 15 in a row down the stretch before Jason Kidd hit a
3-pointer for the Mavs' final points.
Terry said it's no coincidence that he's had three 20-plus-point
games in these last four games in which he's started. He had 11
games of 20 points or more in the first 41.
"There's more to come though," Terry said. "This is just all about
finding a rhythm, getting some chemistry together. And what helps
me is the progression of the rookie [Roddy Beaubois, who eight
points in nearly 12 minutes Tuesday]. Him being able to come in and
play my role and play it well, that's going to be the key."

有些不習慣，但是在先發這四場JET有三場都拿20+。
JET自己也表示說剛開始進攻節奏有些不習慣，但是他願意去適應跟
Kidd及Dirk等一起練默契配合。同時JET也希望Beaubois可以代替他
辦好他原來替補的角色。
