- 1989: Golden Globe Nomination for Best Actress in a comedy
role (When Harry Met Sally).
- 1990: Meg was nominated for a BAFTA(British Oscar), for When
Sally Met Harry.
- 1993: Golden Globe Nomination for Best Actress in a comedy
role (Sleepless in Seattle).
- 1994: Harvard Hasty Pudding Award "Woman of the Year".
- "The high point of the evening came when MR was
presented with a conductor's baton with which she
led the audience in a group rendition of the scene

- 1995: Many nominations for When a Man Loves a Woman but no
Oscar or Golden Globe recognition. She was nominated
by the Screen Actors Guild (probably the third most
