NBA Rumors 2014: Chicago Bulls unlikely to amnesty Carlos Boozer and give
Carmelo Anthony a max contract


The Chicago Bulls continue to be named as a big-time player in the “Carmelo
Anthony Free Agent Sweepstakes,” yet their current financial situation could
keep them from being a serious contender unless certain moves are made.

公牛一直是被大家提到「甜瓜爭奪戰」的參與者，但是他們的薪資空間狀況可能會阻礙
他們追求甜瓜，除非他們能有所動作。

As Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders points out in his latest “NBA AM”
 column, the team is currently committed to $63.5 million in salary, meaning
they’ll have little cap room to work with this offseason. Even if they were
able to renounce everything they can, it still wouldn’t be enough to acquire
a seven-time All-Star like Anthony.

就像《Basketball Insiders》的專欄作家Steve Kyler所說的，公牛現在薪資總額是6350
萬元，意謂他們在休賽季沒有太多薪資空間可以操作，即便他們願意放棄一切，但仍然還
不足以得到這位7次入選全明星賽的巨星:Carmelo Anthony。

Sources close to the Bulls organization have said the team won’t be willing
to use a one-time amnesty clause on Carlos Boozer ($16.8 million) AND pay
Anthony anything close to $100 million, a number he’s likely to get
elsewhere.

一名親近公牛高層的消息人士透露，公牛不太願意將特赦條款用在Carlos Boozer(薪資
1680萬)身上，然後只開給Melo一億美元的合約，一個他到其他球隊也都拿得到的合約數額
。

Even if management did amnesty Boozer, it wouldn’t bring them any closer to
the $22.5 million mark. Kyler notes that Mike Dunleavy and his $3.32 million
contract could be dealt, but that would leave the team with Anthony, Derrick
Rose, Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson and nothing else behind them.

就算公牛管理層特赦Boozer，也很難騰出2250萬的薪資空間，Kyler提到雖然公牛可以
處理掉Mike Dunleavy的332萬的合約，但會讓公牛的陣容只剩下Anthony、Derrick Rose
、Joakim Noah、Taj Gibson這幾人而已。

The best-case scenario would be for the team to trade Boozer to the New York
Knicks in a deal involving Anthony. Better yet, if Anthony were to sign for
$15-16 million a season, that would benefit the Bulls even more. It’s just
hard to imagine him leaving so much money on the table.

對公牛來說最好的選擇還是把Boozer交易到尼克換Melo，假如Melo還願意簽下一年1500萬
到1600萬左右的合約的話那就對公牛就更好了，但很難想像Melo會在談判桌上願意放棄
那麼多錢。

Anthony would immediately move the Bulls further up the totem pole in the
Eastern Conference, but the odds of him landing with the team are becoming
slimmer by the day.

Melo的加盟會讓公牛迅速變成東區的爭冠勁旅，但是他到公牛的機率卻日益渺茫。
