聯盟老闆前五名 瘋狂庫班站排頭

《DIME》雜誌最近選出聯盟當中的最佳老闆跟最差老闆，在老闆的評選中，一向以
狂熱聞名的小牛隊庫班(Mark Cuban)高居榜首，接著是湖人老闆巴斯(Jerry Buss)，
至於在最差老闆的評比中，快艇老闆史特林(Donald Sterling)則是第一名。

1.達拉斯小牛隊老闆庫班
Any discussion of the best owner in basketball begins and ends with Mark
Cuban. This man has poured his heart and soul into the Mavericks (and his
cash) making them a mainstay in the NBA playoffs come April. Despite the
fact that Dallas has yet to win a title in his tenure, Cuban has done
everything short of playing for the Mavs in trying to get it done, and is
also beloved by the team’s fans.

說到最佳老闆很多球迷都會自然想到庫班，他不只願意砸錢整治小牛的陣容，也可以
為了球隊槓上聯盟，被罰款也在所不惜。儘管小牛這幾個球季在季後賽表現不佳，
但庫班還是沒有改變自己的夢想，這也是很多球迷熱愛他的原因。

2.洛杉磯湖人隊老闆巴斯
Buss has been a great owner because of his willingness to stay out of the way
and let the basketball people handle their jobs. Under his watch since 1979,
the Lakers have won nine championships – which is truly remarkable
considering they have won over a quarter of the championships since Buss took
over. He has also been willing to spend the money to keep marquee players,
and bring in excellent coaches like Pat Riley and Phil Jackson.

自從1979年巴斯入主湖人以後，在這31年間幫助湖人拿下9座總冠軍，這的確是非常
優異的成績，而且球隊很願意為球星花大錢，就連教練這一塊也不例外，「油頭」
萊利(Pat Riley)跟「禪師」傑克森(Phil Jackson)都是他花大錢請來的，這也讓
湖人獲得極大的成功。

3.聖安東尼奧馬刺隊老闆霍特(Peter Holt)
Holt saved the Spurs from relocating from San Antonio and his community-based
philosophy has made the Spurs the pride of the city. Under his leadership,
the Spurs have won four championships, and his organization has remained a
model of stability with R.C. Buford and Gregg Popovich at the helm of
basketball operations for years; and Tim Duncan the face of the franchise
for just as long.

在霍特的掌舵之下，馬刺已經贏得4次NBA總冠軍，並且還是擁有穩定的領導團隊，
馬刺總經理巴佛德(R.C. Buford)跟總教練波波維奇(Gregg Popovich)都是他得力的
助手，鄧肯(Tim Duncan)的加盟讓馬刺打下良好的基礎，一直到拿下總冠軍獎杯，
霍特對這一切可說是居功厥偉。

4.克里夫蘭騎士隊老闆吉伯特(Dan Gilbert)
Gilbert purchased the Cavaliers from long-time owner Gordon Gund, and has
made a lot of improvements to the team as owner. He refurbished the Quicken
Loans Arena and built a new practice facility for the team. He has also gave
Danny Ferry and the front-office the means to make any trade or move
necessary for the betterment of the franchise. He has also done all he can
to entice LeBron to stay with the Cavs.

2007年3月吉伯特入主騎士成為大老闆，短短半年內他就讓騎士有很大的改變，最近
兩個球季，騎士隊都拿下例行賽聯盟龍頭寶座。今年夏天他最大的功課就是用盡所有
辦法讓詹姆士(LeBron James)留在騎士。

5.休士頓火箭隊老闆亞歷山大(Leslie Alexander)
Alexander purchased the Rockets in 1993 right before their championships in
1994 and 1995. The franchise has been very successful in his tenure as owner,
and Alexander deserves a lot of credit for being an innovative basketball
man. It was his decision to bring on numbers freak Daryl Morey when not many
NBA teams would, and the decision has paid off as Morey has built a very good
Rockets team.

亞歷山大在1993年以8500萬美金買下火箭，隨後他就帶領球隊在1994年跟1995年完成
二連霸。儘管他曾經被人們稱為NBA窮老闆的典範，但是現在他一舉躍升NBA富豪榜的
前10名，是美國最富有的球隊老闆之一，將莫瑞(Daryl Morey)帶進火箭是亞歷山大
的傑作，莫瑞的表現也十分出色，他正努力讓火箭成為冠軍球隊。

最差老闆的前五名依序是
1.洛杉磯快艇隊老闆史特林(Donald Sterling)
2.金州勇士隊老闆柯漢(Chris Cohan)
3.紐約尼克隊老闆多蘭(James Dolan)
4.夏洛特山貓隊老闆喬丹(Michael Jordan)
