II.     Short Answers to Questions about Harry Potter and the Prisoner of
Azkaban. 80%

1.   Why does Hermione, who is always a respectful and diligent student , react
negatively to Professor Trelawney in her Divination class ?

2. When Harry Potter escapes from the Dursleys, why does he say, in response
to Stan of The Knight Bus, that his name is Neville Longbottom ? Why Neville,
rather than anyone else? Is there a special reason for the choice of the
name? What does this imply?

3. In Professor Lupin class, students are taught to use the charms to protect
themselves, and the Riddikulus( against Boggarts ) and Patronus ( against
Dementors) are two of them. But why are they unique for each person? And why
does Lupin's Defence Against the Dark Arts become most people's favorite
class?

4. It is said that, after getting the Dementor's Kiss, one exist in a
condition" much worse" than death. What can be worse than death? Please
imagine and describe the condition in some detail.

5. Professor Lupin thinks that Voldemort may be what Haryy fears most, but he
later discovers that this may not be the case. He therefore infers that what
Harry fears most of all is fear.
What does it mean to say that one fears fear most ?  20%

6. Explain how the Fidelius Charm works, the charm that is supposed to
have saved Harry's parents from Voldemort.What may be the most crucil factor
involved in the use of this charm? What may be the significance of the charm? 20%
